Awards for Best Licensed Indian Restaurant.

world's -- most highly respected kitchens, the duo's vision is to focus on specialty
ingredients and healthy cooking techniques to create innovative, European

truffles, venison and white asparagus and the venue has earned an impressive
reputation among aficionados for its annual Manjimup Truffle Dinner.
Great food is an essential part of any successful function, so it makes
sense to consider hosting your do at one of Perth's myriad excellent
Not only are you pretty-much guaranteed that the food will be good, with
more restaurants per capita than any other city in Australia, our city's exten-
sive smorgasbord of flavours and cultures is sure to have a dining room to
suit -- from silver service fine dining to bold, ethnic flavours to be savoured and
devoured with the fingers in hedonistic fashion.
But just as it's important to be aware of the required dining etiquette in your
chosen venue, it's also imperative that you're aware of the intricacies and condi-
tions of holding an event at a restaurant.
Most importantly, unless you've booked the entire restaurant for your func-
tion (this can be tricky if you're planning a Friday or Saturday night event as the
weekend is the industry's busiest time), you'll be sharing space with other din-
ers. So if privacy is a concern, consider seeking out a restaurant with a separate
dining room or function area.
Restaurants are a great choice for a range of functions because they are a
relatively stress-free choice, coming ready-equipped with everything you need.
And they are used to dealing with big numbers of people. They will have ex-
perts available to advise you on the logistics of your event and help you source
flowers or lay out special table decorations.
Most restaurants are located in popular parts of town and will be easy for
people to find and get to and from. Many are located close to bars and night-
clubs -- ideal for guests who might want to party on.
Before you start, it's important to ask guests if they have any dietary require-
ments, particularly vegans and vegetarians. Far be it for us to advise you simply
not to invite non-meat-eaters (oops); it is vital that the kitchen is aware of any
special requests prior to service.
Not only will the chef be ticked off when he gets told just before mains that
half your party won't eat wagyu, but you don't want to learn the hard way that
your guest of honour is allergic to seafood just as the Pemberton marron arrives.
It also pays to inquire about drinks earlier in the piece rather than later. Set
menus with and without wine matches make things easy for all, otherwise it might
be an idea to ask about guests paying for their own drinks as they order them.
When it comes to appeasing even the fussiest of
foodies at a function, Perth's wealth of restaurants
have the expertise and knowledge to turn any
occasion into a gastronomic triumph.
