Seasonal menus are produced
to match Leeuwin's latest wines,
all served in elegant surrounds.
THE EVENT: The Leeuwin hosts
weddings, private functions and other
events throughout the year. Well known
for its alfresco concerts, it also caters
for spectacular dinners, intimate recital
performances, product launches,
conferences and milestone celebrations.
THE LOCATION: Leeuwin Estate is located
in one of the world's most spectacular and
isolated wine regions, Margaret River.
THE FACILITIES: In addition to use of its
restaurant, art gallery, beautiful grounds,
fully serviced boardroom and private
airstrip, Leeuwin Estate can also help
coordinate charter flight services for that
touch of class and opulence.
THE NUMBERS: Internally, the restaurant
can seat up to 110 guests or by opening
the bi-fold doors on to the verandah, the
area seats up to 250. The Art Gallery can
host up to 200 people while the serviced
boardroom caters for smaller groups
of 15. For larger events, conferences or
conventions, Leeuwin can erect marquees
on the stunning meadow.
THE FOOD: Seasonal menus are
produced to complement the latest
release of Leeuwin wines. The menus
feature a sumptuous selection of local
produce, including asparagus, venison,
lamb, seafood, berries and cheese. Fresh
water crustaceans, including marron, are
THE BEVERAGES: The restaurant's wine
list features recently released Leeuwin
wines and an extensive selection of
cellared "library" stock, with many wines
available by the glass.
THE COMPANY: In 1972, following
an extensive search for the area most
suitable to produce the best varietal
wines in Australia, legendary Napa Valley
winemaker Robert Mondavi identified the
future site of the Leeuwin vineyard. With
Mondavi acting as consultant and mentor
during Leeuwin's establishment, the winery
has evolved under the direction of the
Horgan family and now exports its wines
to more than 30 countries.
