THE EVENT: Casual weddings, Christmas
parties and corporate events are all
welcome at the Feral Brewing Company.
The venue is open from 11am to 5pm
Monday to Thursday, and 11am to late
Friday to Sunday.
THE LOCATION: Situated on 11 acres of
land in the picturesque Swan Valley, Feral is
about a half-hour drive from the Perth CBD.
THE FACILITIES: Rustic in style, the main
building features a restaurant and enclosed
verandah. The beer garden outside has
an upper deck with marquee (from April
to November) and lower lawn area with
playground. Two huge carparks can
accommodate large buses.
THE NUMBERS: The restaurant can hold
90 people seated or up to 200 cocktail-
style, while the verandah can seat 200.
The marquee on the top deck of the beer
garden can hold 150 people, while the
lower lawn area has seating for about 250.
THE FOOD: The a la carte menu features
modern Australian dishes like duck hot
pot, beef rib risotto and "ocean catch". Set
menus are available for functions, or you
can tailor your own.
THE BEVERAGES: The Feral Brewing
Company has a minimum of six beers -- all
produced by the on-site brewery -- on tap
at any one time. The Feral White, Hop Hog
and Razorback all won awards at the 2009
Australian International Beer Awards. A

Varis and Jeremy Carragher in 2002,
the Feral Brewing Company is the Swan
Valley's most awarded brewery. It aims to
accurately reflect the relaxed atmosphere
and quality produce of the Swan Valley,
while producing slightly offbeat food and
beer for the slightly offbeat person.

Consisting of a top deck and a lower lawn area,
the beer garden is great for larger functions. Your
guests can lap up the sun on the lower lawn area
in the summer months, or stay warm in the top
deck s marquee -- a permanent structure between
April and November.
A playground with swings and a sandpit will
ensure the kids stay entertained.
Head chef Brett Johnson has put together
several set menus for functions, each featuring
modern Australian cuisine. Event hosts can
choose from dips and finger food, or opt for a sit-
down meal featuring an entree, main and dessert.
If casual, laidback and down-to-earth are
words you d use to describe your style, then Feral
Brewing Company may well be the perfect venue
for your next function.
