With breathtaking river views to set the scene -- and start conversations -- the success of your
next function at The Left Bank Cafe, Bar and Restaurant is nothing short of... well, bankable.
History runs deep at 15 Riverside Road, East
Fremantle -- the address of one of Perth s most
well-regarded establishments, The Left Bank
Cafe, Bar and Restaurant.
In 1889, it was the site of a boat-building
business and the original home was known
colloquially as "The Boat Builder s House".
Throughout the 20th century, the property
changed hands several times before it was
opened in its current incarnation in 1990.
Nestled alongside the spectacular Swan River,
The Left Bank retains the heritage and old-world
charm of the original building.
Over the years, it has become a favourite
among Perth and Fremantle residents alike for its
amazing views, culinary delights, buzzing Sunday
session and its Melbourne Cup and Christmas
Eve celebrations. It is now also emerging as one
of Perth s premier venues for functions.
All function areas at The Left Bank -- and
there are five in total -- take in sweeping views
of the Swan River, the perfect conversation starter
at any occasion.
Billy s Fireplace and Verandah features an
indoor area, complete with fireplace, and
connecting verandah overlooking the river.
On the ground level is The Conservatory, a
glass-enclosed space complete with a private
bar and dance floor area.
