Opal Cafe Amid apartment buildings and o ces, this ambient,
inner-city cafe is fast becoming a popular venue for functions.
Overlooking picturesque Russell Square in the
heart of cosmopolitan Northbridge is Opal Cafe
-- a classic, urban oasis reminiscent of the big-city
neighbourhood cafes you so often see in the movies.
Since opening in April 2007, the cafe has
become a favourite among inner-city residents
and workers alike.
With most regulars popping in for breakfast,
lunch or coffee four to five times a week, it has
secured the role of community hub.
Situated amid apartment buildings, offices
and small businesses, Opal Cafe has a relaxed
vibe -- the perfect antidote to a busy lifestyle.
Modern, urban-style furnishings fill a light, airy
space and customers can choose to sit at the sleek
white melamine tables -- some with booth seating
-- or in the chic lounge area complete with leather
couches and funky armchairs.
All of the furniture can be easily moved into
different configurations to suit private functions.
Because the venue doesn t open during the
evening, functions at Opal Cafe are a great idea
as hosts can have the entire place to themselves.

For sit-down events, hosts can design their own
set menu, choosing an entree, main and dessert,
while cocktail-style functions lend themselves well
to platters of finger food.

Cafe offers a catering service, ideal for boardroom
meetings, seminars and product launches -- they
can even deliver to your office.
The cafe is open from 7am to 4pm, Monday to
