Showcasing the latest in small bar design,
The Cabin Wine Bar & Bistro has become
a hip and happening "place to be" since its
long-awaited opening in May 2009.
In the words of managing director Brendon
Aitken, The Cabin is "bringing sexy back" to
Perth s small bar scene.
Intimate and inviting, the venue features funky,
eclectic decor, which has quickly become a talking
point among patrons.
Feature brick walls display mounted stag heads
and rustic prints, while corner cabinets and shelves
showcase vases, books and artefacts from all over
Carved wooden tables, leather booth seating and
faux fur rugs blend together effortlessly to create a
rich, yet unpretentious, look.
Event hosts can choose to hold their function in
this interior space (it is licensed for 120 people), or
on the large balcony, which takes in views of the
city skyline and the Mt Hawthorn cafe strip below.
The balcony, which is licensed for 80, can be
fully enclosed with a large, purpose-built awning
that retracts into the roof. It means the show can
go on, no matter what the weather s like.
Contemporary, French bistro-style food is
the order of the day at The Cabin, with several
different menus available -- choose from tapas,
and canapes, as well as set and degustation menus.
With its intimate ambience, hip decor and
effortlessly cool vibe, it s no wonder The Cabin
has become so popular among Perth s small bar
collective. Hosting a function here is sure to earn
you some serious street cred.
