PLACE Situated between the CBD and
Northbridge, the State Library of Western
Australia is a quiet sanctuary in the middle of the
city’s hustle and bustle. It is well equipped to host
a variety of corporate or government functions.
NUMBERS Nine spacious conference rooms
can hold between 12 to 210 people. The new
Geographe Room seats 30 people, while the
State Library Theatre can hold up to 210.
FOOD The on-site ground-floor coffee lounge
can provide catering services ranging from
morning and afternoon teas to full banquet
cuisine. Outside catering is welcome.

Standing between the CBD and
Northbridge, the State Library is
now a hub of activity with over a
million visitors passing through its doors
annually. But it’s not just a home for books.
The towering building offers spacious rooms
and modern facilities, making it the perfect
location for a range of functions.
Just a short walk from many of the city’s
hotels as well as public transport, the State
Library is easy for visitors and locals to access.
It has nine seminar rooms, ideal for small to
medium-sized meetings, presentations and
training sessions. All rooms are named after
a different region of Western Australia. They
are well lit, with pleasant views (the Great
Southern Room overlooks the CBD) and close
to the main entrance and coffee lounge.
The new Geographe Room is equipped
with the latest technology in lighting and
audiovisual systems incorporating touch-
screen panels and smart wiring, high-quality
acoustics, kitchen facilities and optional
items such as the Smart Board and laptops.
The layout is very adaptable, with comfortable
seating allowing the room to be used in
boardroom, conference or theatre style.
With its built-in cinema screen, the State
Library Theatre makes an ideal environment
for video screenings, 16mm–35mm film
screenings or data projection. The room also
features comfortable tiered seating which
makes for easy viewing of your presentation.
The State Library Theatre has a built-in cinema

The Great Southern Room has superb views
over the Perth CBD and is fully equipped for
an information-loaded conference.
