Tourist Attraction category at the 2009 WA
Steeped in natural beauty and history,
the Cabaret Cave is a truly memorable
function venue. Located in Yanchep
National Park, the site was discovered by
Henry White in 1902 before opening as a
supper room and ballroom in 1932. Today, the
Cabaret Cave remains Perth’s only cave for
hire and is available for a variety of functions.
The cave is purpose-modified, with
stairs, pillars and a dance floor, and offers a
raw, majestic ambience. It is also naturally
air-conditioned and features sensational
acoustics. Whether you’re hosting a large
dinner or small, intimate function, an
itinerary can be tailored to meet your specific
requirements. Guests will enjoy dinner
and drinks, perhaps after participating in
one of Yanchep National Park’s cultural
or interpretive activities, organised in
conjunction with Yanchep Inn. Facilities such
as projector screens, projectors, a PA system
and microphones are also available on request.
Yanchep National Park’s location sets it
apart from other attractions. It offers a unique
blend of environmental, cultural and heritage
experiences, all just a 45-minute drive from
the city centre. Among the park’s countless
features are heritage-listed buildings, the
Crystal Cave, Aboriginal cultural experiences,
a pristine lake, native wildlife and walk trails.
Adventure caving also allows visitors to explore
some of the park’s wilder caves by torchlight.
Yanchep National Park has become known as
Perth’s natural and cultural meeting place.
The cave adds a sense of intrigue
and wonder to any function.
