DETAILS Clairault Winery received a five-star
rating in James Halliday’s Wine Companion
2011 and is recognised internationally for
its environmentally sustainable viticultural,
winemaking and wine tourism practices.
Named after a spectacular nearby
coastal Cape, Clairault has 230
hectares of bountiful creeklines,
natural springs and old native forests. Add
36 hectares of vineyards, and it’s the perfect
backdrop for events, including weddings,
birthdays and corporate functions.
Most events are held in the restaurant,
which has earned an enviable reputation
and plays host to special functions all year
round. It can accommodate up to 130 guests
and is available for both day and evening
events. Exclusive use of the Cellar Door is also
available at an additional charge.
Weddings play centre stage at this popular
winery with the luxurious lawns providing
an idyllic location for ceremonies. The
Private Club Room, with its spectacular stone
fireplace, can be used if the rain descends, and
for larger weddings of 60 or more, vows can
be exchanged in Clairault’s Barrel Room.
But it’s not only beautiful function areas on
offer – there are the fabulous wines. They’re
sourced purely from Margaret River-grown
grapes and Clairault is famed for its cabernet
sauvignon, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc.
It’s also known for its service, which includes
a dedicated hospitality manager, and uniquely
styled food. The head chef, who describes his
cuisine as “contemporary with a conscience”,
sources ingredients from local, ethical,
sustainable and innovative producers.
The menus feature mouthwatering
food that your guests will rave about.
