waters of Bunker Bay, in the Margaret River
Wine Region, 2.5 hours south of Perth.
NUMBERS Windmills holds 40 to 180 people,
Sugarloaf Rock, 16 to 40, Shivery Rock, six to
20, The Snug, nine to 30, The Amphitheatre,
120 to 150 and The Marquee, 230 to 400.
FOOD Choose from superb buffet, plated or
continental breakfast menus; barbecue buffet
or set menus for lunch and dinner; and a wide
range of delicious hot and cold canapes.
DRINK A comprehensive range of flexible
beverage packages is available.
DETAILS This five-star resort has 150 studio and
one- or two-bedroom villas, plus an award-
winning restaurant, bar and day spa. It’s the
largest event venue in the Dunsborough area.

The architecture, complemented by
local natural materials, such as jarrah and
limestone, reflects a uniquely Australian
aesthetic. In fact, the resort is Mirvac Hotels &
Resorts’ ‘jewel in the crown’.
Built in 2004, the resort is undergoing an
extensive soft refurbishment program, due to
be finished in early 2011.
Three beautifully appointed function rooms,
most with ocean views, are ideal for meetings,
conferences and weddings. Windmills, the
largest, can be split into two smaller venues.
The smaller Sugarloaf Rock and Shivery
Rock rooms are perfect for boardroom-style
meetings. In addition, The Snug is ideal for
intimate dinners and events. For an outdoor
setting, The Amphitheatre and The Marquee
are large spaces that work well in summer.
Menus, featuring modern Australian cuisine
with a soft Mediterranean influence, can be
tailored to suit. The resort can also arrange
extra activities featuring regional highlights,
such as whale-watching, wine tours and golf.
The resort has a dedicated event coordinator,
who will help organise your event, and also
offers lecterns, flipcharts, whiteboards and
