Alandmark since 1926, the Pagoda has
served as a summer resort, picnic site,
roller-skating rink, tea rooms and
dance pavilion. During World War II, it provided
accommodation for soldiers. Post-war, its status
as a grand ballroom was reinstated.
Heritage-listed and exuding old-world
charm, Pagoda Restaurant and Bar features high
ceilings and is complemented by a raised bar area
that’s perfect for pre-dinner drinks.
For small, intimate events, the Waterwall
room, with its peaceful indoor waterfall, is ideal.
Larger, more formal events are suited to the
Pagoda Ballroom, which offers an abundance
of natural light and views over the tropical
poolside and gardens.
Esplanade River Suites features 101 serviced
guest rooms and one- or two-bedroom self-
contained apartments. All rooms have ensuites
with twin spa baths, kitchenette, washer
and dryer, and most have private balconies
overlooking parklands, the tropical swimming
pool or Swan River. The hotel also features a
sauna and fitness centre.
Esplanade River Suites was named the
winner for Apartment/Suite Accommodation
at the 2011 WA Australian Hotels Association
Awards for Excellence.
The Pagoda Restaurant and Bar was also
named a Gold Plate finalist in 2010 and 2011.
