Now re-opened after an $11m facelift, the
Broome Civic Centre not only holds the
largest number of people of any venue
in Broome, but also features state-of-the-art
acoustics, lighting and air-conditioning.
First built in 1973, the original Broome Civic
Centre has played host to a broad range of
events, from Shinju Matsuri Balls, to a visit from
Queen Elizabeth II, and various community
activities in between.
With an increased stage size, the Broome
Civic Centre is an ideal place to host dance
concerts, live bands, presentation nights,

Where | The Broome Civic Centre can be
reached easily from all areas of the town,
and provides a great sense of community

Numbers | There are three main rooms within
the centre, allowing it to cater easily to groups
as small as 30, or as large as 350.
Food | Broome Civic Centre has a caterers’
kitchen with brand new combination ovens
and induction hotplates, which your caterers
are welcome to utilise.
Drink | The venue is unlicensed, however hirers
may obtain a liquor licence by applying for an
Occasional Licence through the Department
of Racing, Gaming and Liquor. For added
convenience, the bar has three double-door
fridges, full glassware and an ice machine.
